Le Clos de la Thibaudière
Le Clos de la Thibaudière : an elegant and surprising Loire chenin
In the Saumur Blancs of Rocheville family, le Clos de la Thibaudière is the last to arrive but it knows how to stand out. Coming from a small enclosure 90 acres in the commune of Brézé, this wine is produced in limited quantities. It fully expresses the characteristics of Chenin combined with the particular nature of this great historical ground. Indeed a top layer of sandy and silty soil, a layer of clay, and the tuffeau stone make Brézé one of the finest lands for white wine in Anjou.
Perfect food and wine pairing with Le Clos de la Thibaudière
You will be amazed by its very aromatic bouquet, its lemony and salty notes, its engraved taste, its finesse and complexity. Lively and expressive, it goes wonderfully well with seafood and shellfish, such as a platter of oysters, lobster, lemon yellow place, smoked trout tartare, sushi or ocean sauerkraut, but will also go wonderfully well with a warm goat’s cheese salad or even simply as an aperitif.
