As soon as Philippe Porché acquired his first vines in Parnay in 2004, the very young Domaine de Rocheville could prepare to vinify its first harvest.
In addition to being an exceptional year, 2005 is a key date in the history of Rocheville, that of its very first vintage!
Over the years, the vintages followed one another, with Saumur Blanc and Saumur Champigny, of course, then with Saumur Rosé and a few years later with Crémant de Loire. The experience grew, the philosophy became sharper, recognition began to emerge, and distinctions began to follow one another.
In 2011, with no probationary period, Rocheville was awarded the Terra Vitis label, which formalises vineyard management that respects the environment and human health and eco-responsible vinification, applied from the outset.
In 2013, as the estate took off, Philippe Porché had his own winery built in a decidely contemporary style on the Parnay hillside, close to his vines. During the summer of 2014, the farmhouse/mainhouse is transformed to accommodate a sales shop and a magnificent tasting room with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Loire and the Parnay valley.
