Le Roi : a noble organic Saumur Champigny

Crafted from the finest parcels of old vines rooted in clay-limestone soils, Le Roi exemplifies the elegance and nobility of Cabernet Franc. Its intense, brilliant garnet-red hue hints at a wine of both character and finesse.

On the nose, this organic Saumur Champigny reveals remarkable aromatic complexity, with indulgent notes of ripe red fruits such as black cherry and raspberry, enhanced by subtle oak undertones of chocolate and spices. This harmonious balance is the result of 24 months of aging in Tronçais oak foudres, delivering a rich and refined aromatic profile.

On the palate, the 2020 vintage impresses with its dense yet silky texture and delicately mellowed tannins. The characteristic minerality of Saumur’s limestone soils provides vibrant tension and a faint chalky touch, perfectly balancing the powerful expression of this sunny vintage. A hallmark Loire Valley freshness ensures a long, elegant finish.
